Embody the skills of great communicators, presenters, and leaders—people who have sway.

What we say is important.

But how we say it determines its impact.

The secret resides in our own ability to sway.

My presentation and communication skills training is rooted in the world of performance where artists have developed techniques that ground us so that our communication is free, present, agile, fluid, immediate, unexpected. Alive.

It sways.

Come Sway with Me!

The courage to stand up, speak out, and share our stories builds as we hone our skills.

Together we work to to strip away the habits and anxieties that cloud us, so that when we speak, there is a sense of aliveness that engages, surprises, and has sway.

I want all of us to be comfortable in our own skins, able to read the room, take risks, use humor, share stories, and bring our full selves onto the TED stage, into the board room, the cocktail party, the wedding tent, into high-stakes conversations, interviews, and importantly, into our most precious relationships.

“I backed up a dump-truck of expertise, statistics, metaphors, and experience. Kate methodically, compassionately, and decisively dove into the pile and helped me find my voice, my passion, and the talk I needed to give.”

—Dawn Averitt, The Well Project

I’d love to chat.

I want to know what you are working on,

to share how I work,

and to dig right in.

“As someone with a lifelong fear of public speaking, I had tried all sorts of tricks and strategies to overcome my anxieties.  Kate opened her arms to me and guided me through a solid framework. She gave me the space and opportunity to test, fumble with and improve my skills. Ultimately, she provided frank feedback with a gentleness and kindness that allowed me to grow beyond my fears.”
